History has it that the Ned's Studio Apartment building was visited in February 1879 by bushranger Ned Kelly and his brother Dan Kelly and two other gang members Steve Hart and Joe Byrne. Ned and Steve apparently wanted to have a chat with the local Auctioneer Mr Michael J. Curtin about a horse he had sold on their behalf the previous year.
